These alterations are influenced per hereditary, ambient, nutricionais and psychological factors (Organizacion, 1965; Post & Kember, 1993). She is characteristic of the feeding of these young the consumption of snacks and fast foods, between the meals. This attitude can be justified by the lack of available time to dedicate to a meal, individual preferences. The nutricional impact of the snacks and fast foods can be influenced by some as, the frequency of consumption and nutricionais values of chosen foods. Such preparations can be acceptable, when part of an adequate and balanced diet, but, generally presents high amount of energy and low amount of iron, calcium, vitamins and staple fibres.

The family is the first institution that has action on the alimentary habits of the individual. She is responsible for the purchase and preparation of foods in house. Studies on the feeding of groups of Brazilian adolescents indicate occurrence of alimentary inadequao with absence of ingestion of milky products, fruits and hortalias and excess of sugar and fat (Gambardella, 1996). Thus the objectives had been to evaluate the alimentary habits of the adolescents in the school, to verify the frequency that the pupils carry through the meals, to verify the food frequency ingested for the pupils, to verify where the students had carried through its meals in the last week and to verify where the pupils costumam to lanchar in the school. The evaluation of the alimentary consumption of the pupils was investigated through questionnaire, to verify the frequency that the pupils carry through its meals, with that frequency they consume foods, to question where these students had carried through its meals in the last week and also to verify where the pupils generally costumam to lanchar in the school.
